A salespitch

Why is it that when someone is trying to sell you something and they obviously aren't telling the truth . . . they don't acknowledge they are lying. Do they believe their own hype?


  1. Great question!! They don't really believe the hype -- they read from a script (if it's over the phone) or they've memorized the script and when someone veers from it they are left speechless!

  2. Maybe they are desperate to earn some money? Maybe their job depends on it? I couldn't sell something that I didn't believe in or think was ethical.
